Life at the Chimaltenango Dump

The Impact of Christian Education

Antony is 10 years old and attends Mi Especial Tesoro School in Chimaltenango, Guatemala. His story is similar to many others in the region, marked by hardship but transformed by the love of God. Anthony’s journey shows the positive impact of Christian education on the lives of families facing poverty.

This video shows how Antony’s parents endure long, hard hours working at the Chimaltenango dump. Before sending their sons to school, the family faced constant financial and emotional struggles, marked by bitterness and frequent arguments. But everything changed when they crossed paths with Luis and Vanessa, the school’s directors. Their lives took a positive turn as the whole family found God and embraced a loving community.

Mi Especial Tesoro allowed the entire family to grow both academically and spiritually. As a beacon of hope, Mi Especial Tesoro helps families like Antony’s, and is having a positive effect on the entire community of Chimaltenango.
