Back to School

Meet the Teachers

Meet some of the incredible teachers shaping the lives of sponsored children. For many children, these teachers become more than educators, they become family, offering unwavering support. Here’s a look at their inspiring stories.

Teacher Lea, Guatemala

Why did you become a teacher?
I chose to be a teacher because it is an act of great love. I wanted to provide students with the highest quality of education that will help prepare them for their future.

Teacher Kennedy, Kenya

What challenges do you face?
A major challenge is lack of teaching resources, such as text books for both the teacher and pupils, teaching aids like chalk, rulers, etc. We also have a lack of desks and our classrooms are small and cramped.

Teacher Nancy, Haiti

How does sponsorship help?
In Haiti, poor populations do not have access to education. Many parents can’t send their children to school due to school fees. Thanks to this program, children are educated. The children also get a hot meal when they come to school.

Teacher Elída, Guatemala

How does Christian education impact the children?
It is wonderful to be able tell children how much God loves them. Many children would not hear about the gospel if they didn’t go to Christian school.

Make Back-to-School Dreams a Reality

With fall here, many families are excitedly preparing for the new school year with fresh school supplies and new clothes. Sadly, for children in poorer countries, this excitement is often just a dream.

They can’t afford the basics like school supplies, uniforms and shoes.

It costs $480 to send a child to school for a year. Just $80 can cover two months of schooling.

Right now, we have 250 children waiting for sponsors.

You can help them get back to school while they wait by donating to our Unsponsored Children’s Fund

Your gift provides immediate help and a chance for a brighter future.
